After writing and producing his own eBooks, Lee recognised a gap in the market: independent authors creating exceptional work, but lacking a direct, high-quality platform to release it without dilution, compromise, or gatekeeping.
Marshman Books began as a home for his own stories and quickly evolved into something bigger.
Today, Marshman Books is a direct-to-reader publishing platform dedicated to showcasing bold independent writers and producing their work as premium eBooks.

The Use of AI
“I think there’s a misunderstanding in the current debate. AI doesn’t create stories, people do.
Every book I write starts with original ideas, world-building, and detailed research and planning regarding the science and technology. I define the characters, the themes, and the narrative direction before any drafting begins.
AI is used as part of the workflow. It helps me explore phrasing, generate draft prose, and manage complexity across multiple books. However, nothing goes to publication without being rewritten, edited, and approved by me.
This is not new in principle. Authors have always worked with tools and support, whether through editors, research assistance, or writing software. Creative industries evolve, but authorship remains human. Musicians use digital production tools, filmmakers use editing software, the outcome is still driven by the creator.
For me, AI enables scale and efficiency, but the craft, the judgement, and the storytelling are entirely mine.
